Leo got a heads-up from listener John "Sumo" Riopel (siouxmoux on TWiT Army, and geeklinks on Vox) about the ultimate Obama collectible.  From the makers of Chia Pets comes Chia Obama, a terracotta bust of Barack Obama with Chia leaves sprouting from his head.  You can read John Riopel's blog post.  Available on Amazon and drugstore.com, in two poses, the Determined Pose (above) and the Happy Pose (below).  Cheers!

In-Ear Earphones Cable Noise
A letter from an old friend, Matthijs from the Netherlands, whose letter was last read way back in Episode 185.  Matthijs notices that Leo is enthusiastic about in-ear headphones (the latest being the Dr Dre Beats in Episode 737).  He thinks it is only fair that listeners should be warned that because this type of earphones go so deeping into the ear canal, any contact noise made by movements or wind - vibrations in the wire - get transferred to the speakers and amplified.  Personally he prefers the standard Apple earphones in terms of length and tanglability.

Matthijs is still waiting for Leo to cover the Money Printing Machine Leo has in his basement, but Leo may have to defer that in favour of a new pair of earphones designed for biking (from Tony Wang, sound editor of TWiT).

The Twist-Lok is essentially an adapter that fits on to any drill, for driving a screw into the hole you've just drilled with your electric drill.  After you've finished drilling the hole, you put the Twist-Lok driver over the original drill bit, and you can start driving the screw into the hole, without having to change the drill bit.

Ryan Kenny from Indiana loves DGW and listens to it almost every day.  He missed Leo when Leo went to Australia.  Stay home please, asks Ryan.

The Return of the Mad Minute
Mad Minute returns.  Mini-News Update with Sara Fowler.

A virtual makeover kit for girls, the Digi Makeover has an interactive touch pad and a digital camera which plug directly into the TV via RCA jacks.  It has loads of special effects for clothes, accessories, jewellery, hairstyles and makeup, to add to a girl's digital image taken by the camera, while watching the result on TV.  Images with special effects can be saved.  It also allows girls to pose with their friends in Photo Booth mode.

Advertising Scams
Joe La Rosa remembers fondly an ad from the late 70s or early 80s about some dolled up rabbit ear TV antenna which was supposed to "pull signals right out of the air" - "You don't get cable because you're not paying for cable!"  Sadly, Joe's father fell for it.  Dick doesn't have it in his warehouse, but he still has the AC plug which "makes all the wiring in your house into one gigantic TV antenna!"

In due course, Dick would introduce this antenna - the GFX-100 indoor antenna - in Episode 670.

SeeEye2Eye enables direct eye contact with the person you are chatting with in a video chat or conference.  It is  placed over your own webcam, and a set of mirrors reflect the video image of your friend from your screen on to a beam-splitting glass which sits in front of the webcam, which you can see.  The beam splitter, while showing the video image of your friend, at the same time allows light rays of your own image through to be captured by your webcam.  With extra software, SeeEye2Eye can also be used as a teleprompter.

Dave of Birmingham, Alabama, wants Dick and Leo to sing along to the Letters Jingle.  Sadly they oblige.
