Fingers crossed, Leo might be celebrating the end of the Roz Savage's first leg of her trans-pacific rowing voyage, when it is hoped she will be landing in Hawaii.
Wait-For-Dick
The doorbell rang again for Dick, and it's another gadget delivery. It's a boating gadget (a Casio watch) which Dick might review on DGW.
Muncie and Laporte
Chris Hileman, who did the original design for the TWiTLive website, has noted that Leo keeps suggesting that things he has lost are in Muncie. Chris is from Muncie, Indiana, and has looked all over town, and there's absolutely nothing there, just like Petaluma. He suggests Leo look in Laporte, Indiana. Leo's father did a tour over the country of Laporte towns, and he thinks that there is a Laporte town in most states of the USA.

You can also charge the battery via USB by buying a solar panel using solar energy, called the miniSOLAR. There is also a bicycle attachment to harness the wind power, and an arm-band for people who jog.
You can use the HYmini to charge your 5V portable devices. It also doubles up as a flashlight.
Sit Up!
Leo is back on his GopherSport Anti-Burst Fitness Ball (Episode 322), while Dick is slumped on his chair in a comfortably bad posture.
VCR Plus
Sharon from PoCo (Port Coquitlam) in BC, Canada loves the VCR Plus episode (Episode 560). She tells Dick that TV guides in Vancouver still print the VCR Plus codes. Her parents have been using the codes for 7 years. Jim Nelson also writes in to say that he still uses the codes.

Leo thinks Regis is great and does his work without anyone knowing it. For a photo of Regis in his office, go to Leo's Flickr.

Socket Sense
Expandable Power Strip

Leo ran into Paul Lawrence, director of the Yale Center for Media and Instructional Innovation, who is a fan of the TWiT network. His favourite podcast is The Daily Giz Wiz. There is someone intelligent at Yale after all. Dick also met someone from Yale the other day, and he works in the Combination Lock Department.
Stripped of Power Strips
Dick and Leo wonder how many power strips (such as the Power Squid, Episode 24, and the Tributaries T10 Flexible Power Strip, Episode 449), batteries and LEDs have appeared on DGW, and how many podcasts are left. They hope Ludwik Trammer of GizWizSearch can help.
A Trickle of Hate Mail
Leo has been doing well on TTTT recently, and the hate mail is trickling down. Now Leo getting another kind of hate mail, for doing decent gadgets.
Tour of the Queen Mary 2

Cool-It USB Beverage Chiller
Beverage Chiller
Link: Cool It
Put your drink on this USB Beverage Chiller from CoolIT Systems and it keeps your drink cool, up to 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius). Dick and Leo have a lot of fun drinking their chilled sodas, or at least making the sound effects.
The Chiller uses a Peltier Junction based thermoelectric device, which transfers heat from one side over to the other. Essentially it takes the heat off from the soda can and transfers it to the other side of the chiller. Naturally the cooling effect is limited. That is why you have to start off with a cool can. For a fuller explanation, read the article on The Travel Insider.
Wolfgang Puck Self-Heating Coffee
The USB Chiller reminds Dick and Leo of the Wolfgang Puck Coffee Can which heat ups the coffee after the tab is pulled.
How Dick Suffers For His Art
In order to remove all ambient noise while recording DGW, Dick has to turn off his air-conditioning and his fan. Dick uses a pointing device which gives you the temperature (which Dick talks about in Episode 165, the Must Have One MH1). His apartment is 160F! How Dick suffers for his art, and so does the audience.
