Hot Talk Barbeque Spatula
Talking Spatula
Link: jarusa.com
From about 10 years ago, the Hot Talk was hot for about 2 seasons. It was a talking barbeque spatula, with a few recorded comments that got played while you flipped that steak.
Preparations for China
Right now, Leo is in China, probably wearing Scott-E-Vest Lightweight Travel Pants or Travel Shorts, and carrying the Tom Bihn Tri-Star stuffed with Packing Cubes.
When Leo gets back from China, he might talk about the Tri-Star and Scottevest pants on TTTT.
WTHII
The gadget featured in the last What The Heck Is It? game is the Lite Bite, made by Nite-Ize, whose other gadget, a fibre optic flashlight, was also a WTHII mystery back in December 2006.
It's Time for 4th July Fireworks Again
Jan Reesman is a loyal listener. She last wrote in Episode 382 about the Great Gildersleeve. She has a blog called dogsandcats101. Leo remembers her well because Jan used to call his radio show about her blog, whose old name had the word "bitches" in it and she had to be edited out. Her favourite story from Dick is the way Dick watches the 4th July fireworks on the Hudson River, which he explains again. The only difference this year is Dick's old analogue portable TV won't work.

Podcast Expo
Leo will be going to the Podcast Expo in Las Vegas again this year. Dick recommends the Gorgonz Work Hat to Leo for the hot weather in Vegas, and Rick, the Vegas Cabbie (see Episode 492). No awards for the TWiT network this year, because Leo forgot to get DGW nominated.
Water Skiing with the AutoTether
Gerard Wise suggests another application for the AutoTether (Episode 614). Put the boat on autopilot and water-ski behind it wearing the AutoTether. Just let go to stop the boat.
The Mama Laporte Podcast
Leo's mother may well be joining the TWiT network with another podcast. She just needs to decide what she wants to talk about: cooking, gardening, knitting.

Salton's Cook N' Stir
Self-Stirring Saucepan
Link: The Future: A Retrospective
Tefal made a similar product called Le Saucier. Still available is the Stir Chef, which does not cook, but sits on top of a saucepan stirring the pot, while the pot itself is being heated on the stove.
Gizmo™
Salton's associated company Black and Decker apparently owns the Gizmo brand. I hope Dick gets his share of royalty on the use of the name.
Dick's Gadget Warehouse ...
... was built in about 1920, Dick reckons, with 7-foot thick stone walls, and built like a fortress. Its size is about 10' x 10' x 10' (see Episode 5, the first Warehouse Friday).
The Jerk Store
Kelly from the Jerkstoppers Store in California wants their Jerkstoppers (Episode 507) back, namely Dick and Leo. A take-off of the Seinfeld Jerk Store.

New Recruit at TWiT
Leo has recruited Dane Golden (aka InsideTWiT on Vox) to help him out with the audio editing of Leo's multitude of podcasts. Leo bought Dane a new PC but got stingy over the monitor. He got Dane this meagre 24" Dell monitor instead of the 30".
Aggressive Editing
Dane started the editing of last week's DGWs. Leo asked for the dull parts to be taken out. Dick is not happy as the podcasts ended up as "Hello, this is Leo. I'll be here."
SoniqCast Aireo
Listener Zieg from Colorado writes in about the superior Wifi capabilities of the Aireo made by SoniqCast but the product seems to have disappeared from the market.
A Nice Italian Boy
