SanDisk slotRadio
"Radio Mix" music player
Link: slotRadio
A slotRadio card has 1,000 DRM songs on it, which the new SanDisk slotRadio Player, the SanDisk slotMusic Player (Episode 688) and the Sansa Fuze (Episode 543) can play, in sequence only: no rewinding, no shuffling, but you can skip individual songs. Currently there are 8 different cards, each with a different theme. The slotRadio Player can also play other MP3 and WMA files on your own microSD card.
Fit for Battle
Dick's setup is getting more and more professional. He's been using the Heil PR-40 microphone for quite a while now. A few weeks ago he switched to a Logitech webcam for a much better video picture, and today Leo has just noticed the nice headset Dick has been using, the Bose TriPort Tactical Headset, which is fit for the military.
Panasonic Vibration Headphones
While in Japan, Leo bought a smart pair of Panasonic headphones for Henry, but was disappointed to find when he came back that they were available at Amazon. This reminds Dick of a crazy pair of Panasonic headphones in the Gadget Warehouse which sat behind your neck and would vibrate to the beat of the music. Could they be the Panasonic Shaker Extreme RP-HS900?
Knuckles Calendar
Long-time listener Anish, whose name rhymes with "quiche", as "Leo" rhymes with "mayo", has not written for a while but assures Dick that he's still a fan. In Episode 876 Dick and Leo talked about nursery rhymes which help children remember how many days there are in each month. Unlike some of us, Anish is still young enough to remember the things his parents taught him, one of which is the knuckles calendar. The bumps represent the long months, and the valleys represent the short ones, as Leo ably demonstrates.

First Fan Mail
At the age of 69, Bill Quinlan writes his first piece of fan mail, and it's to Dick and Leo. Bill is completely hooked and listens to it on his 3-mile walk each night. It's dark and no one can see him laughing hysterically during his walk. His wife still uses the VCR Co-Pilot (Episode 665). He recently revisited Episode 182 (having received his order of the Titanium Spork from Think Geek to replace the Tony the Tiger Spoon), and Episode 590, the Palm Pilot (and he's using the latest Palm device the Palm TX).
The Psion 3a Series
Mention of Palm again excites wistful memories of the Palm Lifedrive and Psion 3a which Leo loved. If only it had calendar and address book synchronisation, which Palm did introduce.
Meanwhile, Leo is waiting for something which reminds him of the Psion andwhich he will review for us. Before Leo can tell us what it is, he's sidetracked and forgets about it. Probably the first Android phone, the T-Mobile G1, which Leo will get from Google and has ordered.

Brand New Monday Jingle
It's a brand new week and a brand new day and a brand new Monday Jingle, from Dan Lueders again, which has incorporated Leo's Monday ditty, their occasional slogan "The worse your life is, the better we sound" and even the Gravy Slogan.
Rock My Teeth
Patrick Warn from Georgia, Vermont writes about Rock My Teeth - a musical tooth-whitening system. Attach the whitening kit to your iPod and the music, Professor Bocelli claims, helps line up the peroxide molecules to make it easier for them to penetrate through the enamel into the dentin to whiten the teeth. Watch the video here. Dick thinks the HydraBrush (Episodes 226, 480) - though Dick thinks it's called Turbo Brush - makes a lot more sense.
Cotati Accordion Festival
Dick is joing Leo at TWiTLive on Friday 20 June 2008, and Dick has had difficulty getting a room at the local hotels, because that weekend is the Cotati Accordion Festival. Dick manages to book himself a 2-night package at the Metro Cafe and Hotel, one of Leo's favourites. Kim from Wild Planet is going to demonstrate their Christmas toys and she'll come dressed as an elf.

44 Years of Fold-Ins
Al Jaffee has been doing the Mad Fold-Ins since June 1964, following Playboy's Fold-Outs. He still does it, and does it on a hard, flat board, and has never needed to actually fold the artwork to see the result.
For the recent New York Times interview and article on Al Jaffee, click here.
The NY Times has also reproduced some of the fold-ins over the last 44 years. You can try your hand at the fold-ins yourself to get the answers to the questions posed. Don't miss out on the interactive fold-ins.

A Late Valentine
Bradley McGuffey who previously wrote in, back in Episode 324, found the Coby Digital Photo Frame DP-5588 (Episode 504) on Amazon for $67, and it could have made a good gift from Leo to Jennifer on Valentine's Day, or Hallmark Day.
Valentine's Day Cards
Dick showed some Hallmark Valentine's Day cards on Regis, and 3 days later, he was asked to return them to Hallmark.
